This is probably the latest present in the world but happy birthday, Cansu! <3 12+ hours (this was a troublesome one but I’m happy with it in the end, love working with reflections. Sebastian Vettel, Canada 2011)
It doesn’t matter how big your dream is, or how great your talent is: no one can achieve everything on their own.
Bruno’s Holiday Card 2011.
I just can’t. I can’t handle this. It’s so beautiful, I sat through the whole thing without breathing and was a sobbing mess by the end of it (it’s not even long, what even). It just feels so right to see him in those colours, it hurts. LRGP, you have ruined something good here.
He’s just so… I don’t even know. Perfect. Not all drivers thank their fans and support like this. Not many thank a team that has just kicked them out of the best chance they’d get for their career in the near future like this. Obviously I know he didn’t actually write this video but still, he must have had some participation in making it. It’s things like this that remind me why I’m his fan and a proud one at that. <3
That killer fucking pass.
It all happened so fast, first Webber and Massa tangling, and then this epic pass by Sebi. Damn
I was screaming at the TV like the psycho I am
My god, I was screaming the house down, my family were mildly concerned
I don’t think I was even screaming, it was more of a keyboard smash using my voice.
At the beginning, two weeks ago, it was so exciting, everything was beautiful, Rafa had won the French and was looking good, Federer was looking good and we had a plan
Then even though Djokovic was playing well Federer was playing better and Rafa was being brilliant, and they all made it through to the second week
And then Federer fucked up
Then everyone was useless against Djokovic
Then Tsonga fucked up
But Rafa was being flawless and won from a set down in the semis
Ahhh <3 I try and go every year to at least one day of Hard Rock Calling in Hyde Park, and this year was lucky enough to go on two days out of the three.
First night was the Killers as headliners (favourite band in all the worldd) and the Kaiser Chiefs supporting. Wolf Gang were on first and then James, which was a nice surprise, considering I know WG songs but didn’t really know who they were. The weather looked awful though from the reports, started raining a bit. Kaiser Chiefs were alright, Ruby was the best one, although they did it in the middle and then random ones that no one knew for the finish. Failure on their set list, if you ask me, but people at the front seemed to like it, haha.
Saw the Killers two years ago when they were last at Hyde Park, and that had been utterly amazing, so I had high expectations. Maybe it was the expectations that fooled me into thinking their list was shorter, but I think it was. Obviously they were stunning though <3 Brandon was wearing his waistcoat and urgh, he was just stunning. They came on with Indie Rock and Roll and encore was obviously When You Were Young. They didn’t play Can’t Stay or Joy Ride or The World We Live In, which was a shame, but they did play Shadowplay which they hadn’t two years previously. So it was super good. Got quite close to the front, got a bit crushed but it was fun anyway. Tipped it down the whole time, still had great fun :D
AND THEN went on Sunday again, this time for Train/Rumer/Mike and the Mechanics. Headliner was Rod Stewart but wasn’t bothered about seeing him. Soo we got right up to the barriers for Train, and they were just stunning <3 Even though they were supporting, they acted and performed like headliners, just amazing.
AFTER SAVE ME SAN FRANCISCO (which was amaaazing)
HE CAME DOWN
I CANNOT EXPRESS MY LOVE FOR PAT MONAHAN, SERIOUSLY
THE SONG WAS MARRY ME
HE CAME DOWN TO THE BARRIERS AND WAS RUNNING ALONG IT
HE HELD MY HAND, OKAY
HE HELD IT
AND SANG THE CHORUS BIT
I SO NEARLY FAINTED
I was so depressed when I came home and had to have a shower, because it was unpleasantly hot outside, and I had to wash my hand, obvs. So upset.
Then he went back up again. I was in shock, tbh.
Then it was Hey Soul Sister (or was that before Marry Me? Can’t remember, haha) and that was super good, they had the whole Park singing along. Then last one was Drops of Jupiter, obviously.
Basically, to sum up, I’m now engaged to Pat Monahan.
