This pair were protecting the nest in the tree next to the fence, and I hung around for a good quarter of an hour trying to get some shots of them. I love magpies, they’re my favourite to photograph because they’re beautiful and black and white, and when they fly they’re really pretty.

I really don’t like photographing waterfowl because almost all the shots you get are really generic and unoriginal. Difficult to be unique. But I liked the lines in this one.

Went to Hampstead Heath this morning and got some nice shots, I think. Not that happy with them, the light was shit this morning so not much to work with. And the birds were all misbehaving and not flying at the right times. Anyway I’ll upoad the decent ones. :)
