Sebastian Vettel WIP set
god damn this was challenging. I always find people with closed eyes really hard to paint because eyes are the thing we recognise most in people. With them closed, there’s not much to go on, especially without teeth showing. I was really doubtful when I started on the skin tones that it would be recognisable as Seb, but thankfully the cap made it better :) I really loved painting his ear, I need to do some ear studies soon, they’re very interesting to look at. The trophy caused me many problems and I may repaint it soon.
and just to update y’all on my art goings-on, I’m studying like crazy at the moment so really don’t have much time :( I’m usually so tired in the evenings, which is when I mainly paint. But I’ve started another Rafa picture from IW so I’ll try and finish that next week. Planning a Skyfall painting too.
hope you are all well :)

This is a birthday present for Cansu, I’m so sorry it’s this late again, perhaps we should make it a tradition? ;) I love your company, thoughts and opinions and I miss you in London. You really are one of the most wonderful people in my life!
Sebastian was an obvious choice to draw, and I thought I should draw him on a podium, because that is where he belongs, kissing trophies. Let us hope we see much more of this in the weeks to come!
HOLY FUCKING SHIT
is the best way I can sum up this race today
absolutely crazy race and what a race to end this crazy season on! I was more nervous than I ever have been, both before the race and through every single lap during it- I was even nervous after he crossed the line, lol not sure why.
Was a big shame Bruno was out after the first lap but not much we could do about that. While I still don’t think his incident was his own fault, I am very, very glad it didn’t knock Seb out.
SEBASTIAN. I just cannot. I thought it was all over after the first lap. BUT NO he kept going and Abbey, our poor girl, was injured but he kept going. Everything was thrown at him- weather, radio problems, extra pitstops, damage. Yet he still came through. granted P6 is not a fabulous place to be but he held it because he had to. No risks. Took the title. Absolutely fantastic.
Alonso, congratulations on a fantastic year of driving, Seb had the most worthy competitor this year.
I’ll do a proper yearly roundup post later once it has sunk in. But I am so, so proud of this boy and what he has achieved- triple world champion at 25. He is becoming a great, great driver and I am so pleased we get to witness this. NEXT YEAR, NUMBER 4
you’ll know who i support, but I feel I have to make a declaration about this weekend!
I’m supporting Seb for the title because of many reasons. I think triple world champion suits him and would make him more of a complete driver, among other things :3
But I also respect how Alonso has driven this year and I want to reassure Alonso fans who follow me that this blog won’t dissolve into a wild hate-filled place on Sunday if Seb happens to lose it. I will be very upset if Seb doesn’t win, because barring many mistakes on his part, the only thing standing in our way is mechanical failure and that, in my opinion, is the worst way to lose a championship.
So, SEB FOR THE WIN and respect to the other guy ;)
I can almost smell the victory
The championship is so close. So close. We have an actual chance to win it tomorrow and while this is really really exciting it’s also sort of scary. Like when you’re at match point in a tennis match; you know if you lose that point, the momentum will change and that chance may be lost forever.
Not saying that if Abbey randomly dies on us tomorrow that Seb won’t win it next weekend- I have full faith in our boy and the team to do everything they can. But I don’t count Alonso down and out by any means at all, he’s a fighter and a fantastic racer so I don’t doubt he’ll move up positions tomorrow.
But for a moment I’m just pausing to think what it would mean to the world of racing if Seb does win this thing tomorrow. It’s come up on us so fast, my god, if he does get it tomorrow I think I’ll just be sat in shock. But we’ve got Alonso to watch first.
Seb, just win tomorrow! do what you do best and win, that’s the best we can do. :D
“When I crossed the line he (Rocky) was very calm and I thought ‘it’s not enough’. But then he said ‘it’s looking good but we need to wait until the cars finish’. Then my heart stopped. I was about to ask where Alonso was in the race but I couldn’t. I was so shocked that Rocky said it was looking good. I waited and said ‘take your time’ but then he came on the radio and said: ‘world champion’.”

just got to say, Sebastian Vettel, oh you hero.
From the very back T W I C E after the safety car/pit stop crap he fought his way through, first up to ninth then dropped to the back again, then up to P FUCKING 3
He was on the podium from the back of the grid and stopping more than the other guys around him
I am so proud
TRIPLE WORLD CHAMPION HERE WE COME. FIGHT UNTIL THE END
Latest from official sources on the Seb issue;
Charlie Whiting has gone to dinner, lol, so they’re waiting until he’s back
Christian Horner, the Renault head of engines and some other RBR peeps are in the FIA office. CH was grabbed by the BBC and he said ‘fuel issue’ and we’d know the outcome ‘shortly’
So it’s all coming down to the nitty-gritty now. I can practically taste the champagne that celebrates a third consecutive title for a certain youngest ever double world champion.
I’m not one for bold predictions. I don’t feel as if I have experienced this sport long enough, nor understand the complexities nearly enough to do that. All I can say is that I believe in my driver and in my team. They have proven to me time and time again, on both a small and large scale, that they can produce results that are pure magic.
Sebastian Vettel is more than just my driver of choice. He’s a lot more to me than that, actually. He’s a huge inspiration in my every day life and he is, without a doubt, my hero. To see what he achieves, and at the same time, get to glimpse the sort of person he is, is astounding. He never ever fails to impress and amaze me.
And this season, he has fought so incredibly hard. He has taken every criticism and carried on to be the championship leader. I remember people writing him off before we had even reached the half-way point of this season, and even in the darkest of times, my dedication, my pure belief that he had this championship in him never wavered.
What an achievement that would be, 3 titles in a row at 25. I can’t even comprehend. But I want nothing more than to see that smile, that little jump on the podium, that German anthem, those tears. I want him to take this title and do the unthinkable. You think you’ve seen all of Seb, and he always has more to give.
But there are 3 races yet, and a most incredible, seemingly unbreakable force in Fernando Alonso. I’m worried about tomorrow, i’ll admit. Everything is so tight, mistakes are disasters, cars and racing lines and starts need to be perfect. So much is at stake. So much is to come before we can know anything for sure. I suppose that’s the allure. Everything coming down to the wire and our sport, our boys, giving us the most incredible show on earth.
And i’m hoping, praying, and keeping everything crossed that when the dust settles it’ll be my boy that takes home the gold. Whatever happens tomorrow, the next race, and the one after that, I remain so, so proud of Sebastian. This year he has proven time and time again not only what an insane talent he is, but the pure quality of him as a person, and most of all, of his spirit.

just a quick doodle on my ipad for today. while I appreciate him every day and adore him every race weekend, today really reminded me why I support Sebastian Vettel. He is such a wonderful boy and his driving talent is incredible. He will strive for his absolute best until the very end. With help from Abbey of course!
Sebastian is just such a joy and F1 is so lucky to have him. His emotion on the podium whenever anyone mentions a new record of a F1 legend’s he’s broken shows how much he truly understands the history of this sport, and even more, understands the impact of what he’s doing at such a young age.
This is just incredible and I just love him to bits.
WELL DONE TODAY BB <3
SEBASTIANNNNNN VETTELLL
OK that was a fabulous drive by him, from hearing what Rocky was saying about the tyres it was so close to the cliff and he was lucky not to lose it. I’m really happy he won this, he’s back where he belongs in the championship lead and pray he stays there until the end. for him to be triple world champion (IN A ROW) is just bloody astounding and I want it for him so badly.
I am also glad RBR didn’t have to use team orders (or at least, doesn’t look like they did) because if they had, it would have definitely throw up a storm and people would question Seb’s ability to win again. Having none of that shit today, no.
But I have to say, I have nothing whatsoever against team orders at this stage of the season. F1 is definitely primarily about racing, and yes, for a good half of the year (maybe 3/4), let teammates race. But F1 is also about managing your team intelligently and not making decisions that could compromise one driver with the championship just because ‘they deserve to race’.
I completely understand the reason why Ferrari told Massa to back off Alonso. Massa has no chance of winning the championship this year, while Alonso has a high chance. Why risk that high chance for one podium? Would a team rather have one podium in a race or the championship? Believe me, if it was Bruno as Massa and MAL as Alonso, I’d also understand the order for Bruno to back off. Driver championships are SO IMPORTANT within a team, even for a massive successful team like RBR or Ferrari, to carry momentum and confidence forward to the next year. It would be a big and stupid mistake to throw a championship away simply because you let your drivers race for position on the podium in the last four.
(and given Felipe has most likely already signed a new contract, whether he had got a podium today matters less, no?)
Bruno, idk what to say about this team anymore. Williams seem to have really fallen back on the development, compared to STR who just flew today :( I’m not suggesting Williams as a team have actually given up, unlike LRGP i trust them enough to know they’ll be trying hard to improve this. I don’t have much hope on them massively improving from where they are now, as teams who hit this rut at the end of the season usually stay here.
However, there are a few upsides to this. Bruno is probably no longer required to get into Q3, as the car probably can’t manage it right now. Obviously it would be lovely if he could, and my last hope for that is Interlagos, where he dragged his wreck of a car through to Q3 last year. And MAL probs won’t manage it as well as he usually does either, given this weekend.
So in a way, the pressure is off him a little bit. Unfortunately I don’t think anything short of a podium will help him keep his seat now, it’s too late in the season.
Back to today, though, his start was SUPER, from P17 all the way up to P12, what a hero. He’s been great with his starts this year, very confident. He dropped back after that through front wing debris etc and I think that hurt his race pretty badly, but nothing we could do about that. Pitstops were shit, another thing Williams need to sort out. Also annoying that he drove with way more pace than MAL for the whole race yet finished one place behind him, thanks to Williams’ strategy engineers.
in short: at least he didn’t crash. onwards to India!
YOU HERO <33
Pole position, bitches
/really annoyed for Bruno, totally did not need that right now and JEV just pretty much ruined his whole weekend. With potential penalties Bruno might be P16 so we can possibly deal with that and might be able to come forwards, I just hope he keeps it clean tomorrow.
