Ayrton Senna (21 March 1960 – 1 May 1994)
18 years ago today, the world lost both a great man and a great driver.
Only ten years before that, Senna was only starting his career at the hands of Toleman-Hart, which was as dreadful as it could have been — and yet, good enough for Senna to shine and show the world “hey, I’m here”.
Today, 18 years later, I can still remember the panic of a 7 year old boy who saw one of his heroes die, and ever since thinks of some kind of worthy tribute to pay to an awesome, awesome driver.

My whole body is shaking when I look at this picture… and I feel pain somewhere deep inside.
^ Makes me feel so sick. A lot of things in sport, you can get over them and move on, but this is certainly not one of those things.
