Bruno briefly sat in the 1996 Williams FW18 today at Silverstone.
…I saw this and immediately started crying???
I know it’s not the FW16 Ayrton died driving. But it’s only two seasons later, it’s still a Rothmans era livery… and he has a cap on with those fluffy curls sticking out over his ears just like Ayrton used to have… and I just… yeah. There are tears right now, leave me alone.

Speaking as a photographer myself, knowing the point of telling a story with a photo… I know why whoever shot this took it. (There’s even another shot taken shortly after it that’s not nearly as bad; context is everything, and photographs are only singular moments.)
None of that makes it any easier to look at. Somehow, it just makes it worse.
